Well regarded, high profile and long established membership organisation, operating in the professional services sector, seeks a new recruit to join a small but highly effective Insight Team. You will be providing expertise across all aspects of primary market and opinion research (qual and quant) and insight, working with internal clients to understand their needs & define research objectives and advise them on appropriate research solutions.
This is a brilliant opportunity to get exposure across varied and influential projects. Some of the research is created in-house with a survey tool and so you can remain as a hands-on researcher while developing insights and see the impact of your findings.
The Insights team acts as the professional centre of excellence for primary market & opinion research and insight across the business. The team’s remit is to provide an accessible source of consultancy and professional expert advice and deliver strategic, high-profile programmes as well as some tactical studies. Its deliverables are used to raise public profile and inform strategic and tactical business decision-making with high quality primary research.
Responsibilities include:
- Timely delivery of research & insight studies with appropriate research solutions that meet specific business needs and add value.
- Support the Head of Insight in delivering in day-to-day management and delivery of core primary strategic research programmes and insight
- Co-ordinate the delivery and promotion of the flagship research programme – a quarterly Business Confidence Monitor through efficient & effective project and stakeholder management
- Ensure a high-quality research standards and accuracy of material & outputs delivered by the Insight team - through questionnaire development, online set up, sampling, data accuracy, analysis, and reporting.
- Develop internal relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Work closely with research agency suppliers.
- Support the Head of Insight in championing the Insight function across the business and embedding the best practice to enhance the quality and effectiveness of research
- Administrative duties such as updating and maintaining the team’s processes and systems to ensure effective running of the team.
Key skills
- Experience with developing & delivering primary market and/or opinion research essential. Either in an agency and/or client-side business-to-business or professional / membership services environment.
- Experience with developing and delivering primary market & opinion research from brief to debrief essential. Experience of an online survey platform is essential.
- Quantitative research experience essential (questionnaire development, online survey design, analysis, and reporting), qualitative research experience (desirable).
- Ability to define a research problem and apply appropriate research solutions.
- Strong information analysis skills and attention to detail essential.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop and maintain relationships with varied stakeholders.
