Property and Rights market leader seeks a Research professional to join them to help commercialise their offer and work with b2b customers to enhance their businesses.

As a not-for-profit company, they distribute  revenues back into the creative industries, helping to ensure that rightsholders are fairly remunerated when their works are used.  This is a multi million pound business, punching above its weight and working in partnership with its members and international partners in the world of publications and entertainment

This role will be responsible for developing and delivering a growing portfolio of research and insight for the business and provide a point of expertise to support the business to understand customers and their needs.

The role is responsible for delivering a full-service market research and insight function to the business. This delivery includes, but is not limited to, managing the design, execution and reporting activities that deliver evidence-based business insight to inform negotiations, customer renewals, product innovation and corporate decision making. The research covers the full range of qualitative and quantitative methodologies and will require a mix of managing external agencies, freelance teams and running in-house research. 

You will work with varied internal stakeholder, including SLT, Operations, Marketing, Product Development, Commercial and Technology.

Often project based, you will identify research needs, design and plan research, use quantitative and qualitative analysis and communicate findings to stakeholders

The successful candidate will have:

  • At least 5 years experience in an insight or market /social research focused role with track record of providing business insights and implementation of recommendations from research, will at least some B2B experience.
  • Strategic experience and a commercial mindset - having worked with senior teams.
  • A demonstrable track record in executing qualitative and quantitative research; designing, creating, and executing customer questionnaires; managing online and offline surveys.
  • moderate qualitative interviews and focus groups with professional audiences.
  • Highly numerate, and able to create accurate visualisations of quantitative data.
  • Understanding of statistical techniques and their application.
  • Skilled in the presentation of data and insight to all levels in the business.
  • Attention to detail, strong quality control and can ensure all work is accurate, well presented, timely and actionable.
  • Strong communication skills, the ability to engage, influence and lead stakeholders from across the business with varying degrees of knowledge of research.
  • Well-developed conceptual thinking and ability to problem solve.
  • Experience of creating dashboards through visualisation software such as Power BI (desirable).
